CONTEST TERMS
The right to participation
Every photography lover, old or young, individuals or groups (family, class, friends, etc.), regardless the age, sex or place of residence may enter the contest.
The contest theme: I need to get in the sea“
The objective is to take photographs that, in authors' opinions, best illustrate the expression „I need to get in the sea“. The photographs can show sea settings, beaches, coasts, with or without people, underwater photographs, activities related to the sea such as angling, fishing, water sports and everything else related to the contest theme.
The contest photographs
The photographs for the contest are submitted in digital form. The photographs taken by analogue (classic) cameras can be scanned in digital form and submitted for contest. The photographs can be taken at any time, on the condition that the contestant is the author, that they are technically correct and that they were taken in the areas of Lošinj and Cres. Every author can submit an unlimited number of photographs. The photographs must be submitted in jpg format, with the minimum resolution of 2500 px, and maximum size of 5MB. Each mail should contain one photograph and contact data.
Mode and deadline for submitting photographs
The photographs for the contest are submitted in the office of the Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj every working day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Riva lošinjskih kapetana 29 or on e-mail address: tzg-mali-losinj@ri.t-com.hr (specifying: For the photo contest) till June 18, 2012. Every photograph has to be accompanied by its title and the author’s name, e.g. „A dive into the sea – John Jones“. Along with the photograph, the authors should submit their full name and surname, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
The contest rules
Camera:
The use of all types of cameras, flashes, additional light, multicolour filters, lens effect, etc.
Copyright:
The authors guarantee that the submitted photograph is original, that it has not been published, that it is not burdened by claims of third parties, and that copyrights have not be transferred partly or in whole to third parties.
The authors allow the Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj to exhibit the contest photographs on the exhibition at the event “I need to get in the sea“, as well as in its other promotional and advertising activities without compensation, with the name and surname of the author of the photograph.
Prizes
All submitted photographs will be examined by the commission of the Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj and three best photographs will be chosen. The authors of the three best-ranked photographs will receive gift packs of the Mali Lošinj Tourist Board.
Photos will be published on June 18, 2012 on TZG Mali Lošinj's Facebook profile “Island of vitality“, where fans will be able to click Like on their favourite photos from June 18 at 12:00 noon until June 24 at 20:00 h and the three photos with the most Likes will be rewarded.
The announcement of the best and the presentation of all works will take place on June 25, 2012 on the main square in Mali Lošinj at 9 p.m.
